    The Asset Manager manages the tasks and activities to comply with the financial, legal, and regulatory requirements for operating the company’s solar farms. The Asset Manager is also responsible for managing the relationships with key financing partners, working closely with external contacts to ensure good working partnerships.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Finance
    • Monitor bank accounts associated with each projects to maintain balances as required by financial partners while maximizing cash available to the company.
    • Assist with preparation of project budgets, departmental budgets, and updates to project financial models.
    • Initiate and maintain records of payments to investors and lenders.
    • Manage the preparation of tax returns and tax payments for operating projects.
    • Conduct analysis and prepare various ad-hoc reports on the operating portfolio.
    • Operations
    • Collaborate with the operations team to evaluate and improve operational performance.
    • Oversee and coordinate with O&M team on preventative and corrective maintenance.
    • Review operating data and complete analytic reports on project performance.
    • Regulatory and Compliance
    • Ensure Strata Solar complies with all provisions of the contracts with investors and lenders.
    • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for investors and lenders.
    • Ensure all registrations, payments, and reporting requirements for the various LLC’s associated with operating solar farms, most notably annual registrations with the NC Secretary of State, and annual reporting for the 1603 Federal grants.
    • Respond to queries about projects from auditors and internal staff regarding the projects.
    • Other duties in support of asset management as assigned.


    Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

    • BS. in Business or related discipline required.
    • At least 2 years’ experience in Finance, Legal, Asset Management or related field.
    • Experience in the renewable energy industry is beneficial but not required.
    • Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office suite products.
    • Working knowledge of the processes associated with AM and current methodologies.
    • Experience with Asset management software and systems.
    • Development and implementation of report templates, analytical tools and other AM-specific tools.
    • Must be detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
    • Proficient at extracting and summarizing large amounts of data, and analyzing information.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast paced environment.
    • Must be able to work independently.
    • Work across many different functions including finance, accounting, legal, operations.
    • Effective interactions with colleagues, investors, and lenders.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Has a valid driver's license, clean driving record and can pass a drug test.  

    Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

    Work is performed in an office environment. Must be able to sit for long periods of time, stand, bend twist and lift up to 20 pounds. Position requires a minimal amount of local, overnight, and extended travel.
