    The Project Engineer acts as the Project Manager of the Engineering execution team.  It is a key role to bridging the Engineering execution team with the rest of the project execution team. They serve as the prime interface with the EPC Project Manager on activities, schedule, budgets, scope of work and other engineering deliverables.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work with the project team and group leaders to develop engineering deliverables’ schedules that align with the overall project schedule
    • Understand the terms of the Prime Agreement as it impacts the Engineering deliverables and support.
    • Prepare weekly project status updates as far as engineering services
    • Assure that the following milestone meetings occur
    • Sales turnover/Engineering kickoff meeting
    • Value Engineering and Constructability Reviews
    • Construction plan Page Turn prior to mobilization
    • Assist in the creation of project metrics and feedback loops of lessons learned and historic costs.
    • Timely response to field construction needs.
    • Travel as required to meet execution needs of projects.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Coordinate the Engineering project team assigned to the project to meet project commitments.


    Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:  

    • BS in in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
    • Minimum seven (7) years relevant work experience including Project Management.
    • Proficient with AutoCAD (desired), and MS Office.
    • Experience with design of PV projects (desired).
    • Comfortable presenting to and interacting with consultants, authorities with jurisdiction, and regulatory agencies.
    • Ability to obtain out-of-state PE license(s).

    Physical Requirements/Work Environment:  

    Work is performed in the office and in the field. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift up to 20 pounds. May be exposed to weather elements when in the field. Limited out of town travel is required (est. travel ~ 10%).
