Summary:

Electrical Engineer I is responsible for preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and studies of electrical systems for ground mount utility-scale solar PV power plants. Ensure that design conforms to AHJ codes and/or Owner specifications. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure design compatibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and evaluate electrical system requirements for utility-scale solar PV power plants
• Direct and/or develop electrical layouts using AutoCAD
• Develop electrical studies and calculations using ETAP
• Direct Electrical Designers and Engineers to prepare and revise electrical drawings and calculations
• Provide construction support during the project execution phase

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited university
• Engineer-in-Training (or obtainable within 6 months)
• Internship/work experience (desired)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with application of NFPA 70 - National Electric Code (desired)
